Procrastination is always based on fear. (Never fool yourself that it is anything but fear.)
The fear is usually irrational or exaggerated.
Procrastination increases the intensity of fear and lowers your self-esteem.
Until you can diminish the intensity of fear that you live with, the best approach is counter-phobic.
All that means is that when you become aware of procrastination, use a little will power and do it!
Usually you will find the anticipated danger was exaggerated. You will have earned a sense of relief.
Your self-esteem will improve as you recognize that fear has not controlled your life.
