The magic of creating your children is as dangerous as tightrope walking between the towers of the World Trade Center.

Patient A had two sons.  One was a delight.  The second was a pain in the ass from the day he was born.  Children are not born with the same ability to cope with stress.  They may also be of markedly different intelligence as well as character traits.

Just as we are poorly trained in the realities of love unless we saw it in our parents, we are similarly not trained in the proper parental attitudes to our developing child.  In this most important task of life we inevitably make many mistakes, even with the best of intentions.

Then there is the chaos and mystery of their teenage years.

In biblical times children were seen as adults at 13.  The tasks and learning of life were simpler and learned by hanging around their parents and their close-knit tribal communities.  There was not the prolonged period of dependency and learning that we now grow up with.  Among the bushmen of the Kalahari desert you hung around with your parents and learned their cultural and survival skills well before the age of 13.  I went to medical school and was unable to support myself until I was close to 30.

His journey flows

on

your teaching

The journey, the road to Oneness moves forward on correct knowledge, on true learning, on transformation, on healing, on growth.  The teaching of each child is holy vocation.  False teaching requires much relearning, much healing.  The journey is slowed, misdirected, even stopped.  Correct teaching moves the infant to child, the child to teenager, the teenager to adult, the adult through maturity into the arms of Oneness
